Male

We busted this awesome guy out of the local pound. How could you not? We do not know how he ended up there, only that someone was sort of crazy to have let this dog get away. Shane is great. He is a sweet, happy, precious cuddlebug. He is all about the kisses and the laps. He has a blast playing out in the yard and zips around like he's never seen the sun in his life. Shane rooms with a few other Dachshunds and they have all become fast friends. We've got only sweet nothings to whisper about this beautiful boy. He is just fantastic.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Nancy, Wilson, from Nelsonville, OH, sent him this message: "Shane, your doppelganger Oscar lives with me, but he is a much older, good, good boy. Some say he is the best dog ever, but I am positive a very special and lucky family will be saying the same thing about you very soon. Many Licks, eskimo kisses, and ear scratches... xoxo Nancy, Oscar, MoJoe, Jack, Peanut and Madame Von Poof" Shane loved all the special attention and sends Nancy and her entire crew LOTS and LOTS of very grateful kisses and enthusiastic hugs!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
