be my buddy
American Shorthair
Born: 07/17/2011
Small
9 lbs
Male

Squeak was a feral kitten found by a nice lady in Iowa. When he was brought to us, he was very frightened and we knew he had never had contact with humans. He spent all of his time just out of reach, and we had to work daily with him to help him overcome his fears. Squeak is still a little bit shy, but has come quite a long way and now enjoys scratches behind his ears and relaxing on a lap. AND, he has the cutest button nose in the entire cat room.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Cynthia Kingery from Sidney, Iowa, sent him this message: "Squeak, I am so happy that you are safe and warm and no longer living in the storm sewer. Pup dog, Marcy and I hope that you find your forever home soon!" Squeak sends Cynthia and Marcy many little and very grateful kisses for bringing him to the shelter!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
