Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Buford, GA.

Tank is so happy to be alive! He came very close to losing his life. He belonged to a family who could not afford to care for him properly. When he came down with parvo because he wasn't properly vaccinated he suffered in great pain for many days. Friends of the family found out and begged the family to let them take him to an emergency hospital for care. When they finally agreed Tank was barely alive. He had not eaten for days and could barely hold his head up. The veterinarian said it was the worst case of parvo she had ever seen. HUA stepped in to provide immediate blood transfusions and supportive care to save his life. He was in the hospital for over a week. Tank is now healthy, happy and getting stronger every day. The family realized they did not have the means to care for a dog so Tank is looking for a great family who will love and care for him always. He promises to return that love with goofy smiles, non-stop fun and stubby funny tail wags forever and ever.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Chris Evers, from Lincoln, NE, sent him this message: "Dear Tank--You have been through so much in your short life so I know you are a fighter but once your perfect family finds you (which I know will be soon) I'm sure you will be the biggest lover!!! Hugs and kisses from me." Tank sends Chris LOTS of very happy kisses and many playful tail wags!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
