Anetra

back to sweethearts

| Born: Sep 02, 2003 | Weight: 16 lbs. | Gender: Female

Anetra was found on the front porch of a home in the country. She was in extreme pain from an eye injury and the temperatures outside were bitter cold. When she arrived at HUA she was immediately rushed in for surgery. There was nothing that could be done to save her eye so it was removed. Anetra is the most loving, affectionate girl you can imagine. It is a delight to have her with us. She is so grateful to be warm, safe, loved and no longer in pain. She will never forget what has been done for her and she showers us with kisses of thanks every day. Anetra is a happy, smart, affectionate girl. She loves to be with people and is so curious. Because Anetra was not as good looking as the other dogs due to her eye problem she was constantly passed over for adoption. She desperately needed full time love in a home so very much that she was chosen to live at a permanent HUA foster home. She adores her life there and is so grateful that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, because we think she is gorgeous.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
