HOMEWARD BOUND - ADOPTED - now living happily in Lincoln, NE!
Queenie is a delightful young lady who loves playing with humans and her fun dog buddies. This gorgeous girl was evicted from her apartment in Missouri because she was digging holes in the yard. We have not seen that behavior at the shelter, so in all likelihood she was bored and left alone too often. What we have seen from Queenie is that she is practically perfect. She minds her house manners so nicely, plays wonderfully with the other dogs, and walks nicely on her leash. She absolutely adores attention from humans. Queenie is a sweet, silly, loving girl who will adore having her own family.
UPDATE ON QUEENIE: A mammary lumpectomy revealed cancerous cells. We received the devastating diagnosis that Queenie's cancer had metastasized and our dear girl was given only weeks to live. We would have done anything for Queenie but there was nothing to be done. We move her to the HUA foster home on campus for hospice care. After months spent at her foster home Queenie was thriving -- active, eating well, playing, showing no signs of illness. We took her back to the vet for radiation and bloodwork and to our amazement Queenie's cancer had disappeared. She is a miracle.
