Athena was found as a stray running the streets, hugely pregnant. She was so grateful to be saved, and gave birth to a whole bunch of fat, bouncing babies days after coming to HUA. She was an attentive and protective mother, even making sure that the runt of the litter got every chance she needed to survive and thrive. Now that Athena's babies have all found their new homes, Athena is ready to become somebody's baby. Besides being the prettiest thing, she is the sweetest thing. She loves treats, walks, toys, tennis balls, car rides and playing outdoors. She has gotten along quite nicely with the other dogs, even those who play a bit rough. She was a master of her obedience and agility classes. Athena has been a brave and tolerant dog -- she deserves a life of pampering and happiness. Her family will be rewarded with constant grins and epic butt wiggles.
