Tansy

be my buddy
Dachshund
Born: 11/08/2007
Small
10 lbs
Female

Tansy came from a hoarder in Kansas. She lived in a small house that had over 40 unaltered dogs. It was frightful, but we were certainly glad that her relatives recognized that intervention was needed. None of the dogs had ever touched grass or been outdoors. At first they did not know what to think of their clean new place at HUA with room to run around and play. Tansy was one of the first to realize life was now leaps and bounds better. In no time she has become very happy and playful, and especially friendly with people she knows. She and her doggie friend Yucca love to play with toys and go everywhere together. Because of the situation with the miniature pinschers and dachshunds living in such close quarters it is hard to know the full story on breed, but we were told that Tansy is 1/8 Min Pin and the rest Dachshund. Tansy is dainty and strikingly gorgeous. She will no doubt be an entertaining little clown for a new family, and we are hoping a new family finds her very soon so that she can enjoy life to the fullest.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Bonnie Faimon, from Lincoln, Nebraska, sent her this message: "Dear Beautiful Tansy: We saw that you did not have a Buddy, and we couldn't let that situation continue one minute longer. So here is your early Christmas present, a Buddy family! We know it will also be a Happy New Year gift for you because 2010 is going to be the year you FIND YOUR FOREVER HOME!! How could anyone not want to give a home to a sweet and friendly girl like you? Love, Bonnie and her Lincoln pups." Tansy sends many happy, grateful kisses and Merry Christmas wishes to Bonnie her adorable pups.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
