Shiba Inu Mix

Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Omaha, Nebraska.

Ping is loving, fun, adorable fellow. His smile lights up the room. He enjoys time with people and loves his play time outdoors. He is a mellow boy who likes to explore and chill with his friends. He appreciates a good tummy rub and head scratch and thinks rolling in the grass is absolutely delightful. He has very good house manners and he has told us that while he likes it at HUA he would very much love to be adopted by a family of his very own. He is a Shiba Inu, mixed with Chow, mixed with something with a silly, goofy, fun personality. We're very sure of that. Ping came in with two of his pals from the Miami Dade shelter after the shelter was forced to close due to a distemper outbreak. He and his pals were healthy, but had nowhere to go. HUA volunteers in Florida rescued them and brought them all the way to Nebraska. Please see the video below for the story of this amazing rescue including pictures of Ping, Stealth and Cookie on their first play date in the agility yard at HUA. They are all so happy to be free and saved!

Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Riki Shaw, from Coconut Grove, Florida, sent him this message: "I'm looking for a home for you baby!" Ping sends Riki many happy, grateful hugs and kisses. He thanks her for rescuing him and hopes to see her again.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
