HOMEWARD BOUND - now living happily in Omaha, NE!
Sassy was found in rural Texas by a kind HUA prior adopter who spotted her wandering in a creek. With her were her two puppies and a sweet bulldog. Reports are that they had been on their own for quite some time and had been seen eating corn from deer feeders the farmers had constructed. The wonderful adopter tried desperately to find homes for the pups and was turned down by eight shelters. When she contacted HUA for help, we agreed immediately to take in this group of beautiful dogs. Sassy's pups were adopted, but she was found to be heartworm positive and had to endure the long and arduous treatment. Through it all, she was a happy-go-lucky girl with such a positive outlook. Now that she is healthy, her true personality is shining through and she sure is sassy! She has been to obedience classes and did quite well, although some of her antics had caregivers laughing most of the time. She is full of energy, very smart and willing to learn, and as friendly as they come. Her new family will adore her silliness and zest for life.
