Max was abandoned in a small town in Kansas. He was desperately running up and down the street jumping up to people begging them for help. Max was ignored until he happened upon the founders of the Shelter! Max is the shyest, sweetest, most devoted and perfectly behaved little dog anyone could ask for. He is so smart that we must spell many words around him. He is known in many stores in Auburn because he is the constant companion of Dennis Wheeler. Max is an ambassador for the Shelter along with his beloved sister, Tess.
