Our Lassie girl was a stray in Texas. In the high kill shelter she was very nervous and skittish. Here at HUA she is making improvements with lots of love and assurances from her caregivers and the volunteers, but loud noises and sudden movements still scare the poor dear. Lassie is shy with her leash but she allows it, and walks perfectly with a person as long as it's a nice, quiet stroll. When she is in the big yards Lassie really lights up. She skips around with her pretty ears in the air and a big smile on her face. Lassie just needs a home of her own to help her gain the confidence and trust she deserves to have. Another dog in her family could great help with that.
